Map a drive letter to a shared printer or file share (Drive Map). To map a drive to a network resource, must be enabled on the remote (server) computer. NET USE command can map a network printer to an LPT port (for DOS type applications that print to a port.) but this does not add the printer to the Control Panel.

You can demonstrate this by going to one of your printers in your computer and right clicking and sharing it. Choose something like SHARED_PRINTER. Then go Net View, look for your own computer's name. Then do Net View on your IP or computer name and it should show the share. Then you can do the Net Use command on your self.

You can't use the net use command. You do have a few options however. If you have a 2008 Domain, you can use Group Policy to deploy your printers. If you don't have a 2008 print server, you'll need to use a login script. Add the following line to your login script: cscript \domain.localNETLOGONPrinter.vbs //B
