I've been using Air Navigation Pro for a very long time and have checked the competition many times and always come back. It is super easy to use yet full of features. I use it for flying around without a particular destination as well as for more complex navigation scenarios in which it definitely excels! Highly recommended! Also, their maps are always updated super quickly!

I love this app, and have been using it for many years. One thing I would ask is for a faster way to change maps. It requires 3 clicks now with hard to use menus. I would make it one click. Here is why it is important: of you fly VFR, you may find yourself having to switch between maps mid-air. When I fly helicopters, I use CVFR maps (which are used for low altitude general aviation routes), but sometimes the ATC will instruct me to fly based on helicopter routes, which are different and only listed in a specific map. Moving between maps should be easier to allow you to make that switch. Thanks!

Lovely small app . Works all the time. The maps are a big download, I assume they are not vector. However, a good backup app. For a main use it is lacking a few features, like frequencies and airport information. The user interface is a learning curve and the VFR pilot needs to fumble with settings, not making much sense. When tipping an airport, I expect airport information, not setting a waypoint. It all relies on the openflightmaps, which is fine, but there is more data that could be displayed. After all, Communication is important. That information should be on a finger tip. good running backup map though.
