A Sender ID is a numeric or alphanumeric contact that identifies who has sent an SMS message. Sender IDs appear at the top of text message conversations and help users recognise what business has sent a particular message.

A Sender ID is a unique name or standard mobile number that shows in the “from” field of your text messages on your phone. So, instead of the message coming from a system generated long number, you can choose your company name, campaign name or even a standard mobile number.

Sender ID is your identity from which the message is sent. Sender ID is the ID you choose on the panel or the one that is given to you. Sender ID should be of 6 characters consisting of alphabets, that may in capital letter or small letter or mix of both for e.g. CVTECH, but there should not be any number or any special character.

An SMS Sender ID or SMS Customer ID (or simply put sender name) is the displayed value of who sent the message on your handset with a registered mobile number. For example, the Sender ID of your friend is their phone number. It can also be a shortcode, such as 12302. Or contain a limited number of characters, e.g. CoffeeShop.

Sender IDs are alphanumeric identifiers you can use to brand your text messages and show your customers who you are before they tap the message to read it.
